With the Premier League just about under way we once again have a new look league with three teams full of fresh faced players looking to make their mark in England’s top division. This article aims to look at why players who are outstanding in the lower leagues either fail to make it in the Premiership and what sets the ones that do aside from those that can not.

Defending champions Ajax continued to dominate with another crushing win in the second week of this season's Eredivisie, whilst Feyenoord kept up their 100% record under Ronald Koeman in their continuing quest to put last term's disappointing campaign firmly behind them.
This weekend saw the return of one of the most competitive leagues in Europe in the form of England's second tier, The Championship. And this term's competition promises to be just as exciting as it has been in recent years.
