This season's Eredivisie has come to a close (aside from the Europa League and relegation play-offs) and it's the giants of Dutch football Ajax who claimed the crown in dramatic fashion by beating defending champions and title rivals FC Twente on the final day. And a goalless draw for PSV, who led for so much of the campaign, left them in third meaning they miss out on Champion's League football next season.

The Eredivisie's penultimate weekend saw all eighteen sides kicking off at the same time last Sunday afternoon. PSV, league leaders for so much of the season, can no longer win the title. This leaves Dutch giants Ajax and defending champions FC Twente, who are separated by just a point, facing off in Amsterdam on the final day of the season. The sides will also meet in the KNVB Beker final before their title showdown.
There are only a couple of weekends left in this season's Eredivisie and every single team still has something to play for. Another bad weekend for PSV has seen them slip down to third, a massive win for Willem has kept their hopes of survival alive, whilst denting AZ's chances of finishing fourth, and there is still a Europa League play-off spot up for grabs.
